Module summary
This course is designed to ensure that Masters level graduates are able to: (a) understand the rationale and key principles of systematic reviews, and (b) undertake narrative systematic reviews that meet the standard laid out in the PRISMA2020 statement (http://www.prisma-statement.org/)Objectives:Students should be confident in managing the systematic review process, extracting data, and narratively synthesising evidence from academic journals.Learning outcomes:On completion of this module, students should be able to:1) Formulate a question and develop search terms based on the PICOS framework;2) Retrieve, manage and screen references and full-texts in a database;3) Undertake data-extraction and make risk-of-bias judgements reliably;4) Follow PRISMA-P and PRISMA guidelines and narratively synthesise evidence, producing a PRISMA compliant systematic review. Objectives
