Pre-requisite qualifications

A minimum average grade of Borderline 2:1 at Level 2.

Where the academic language of the host country is not English, the pre-requisites will normally be a grade C pass at GCSE (or equivalent) in the appropriate language and successful completion of appropriate FLTU module(s).

Candidates must also have secured a place, through the School, at a university abroad.

This module is not approved as a discovery module

Objectives

On completion of this module, students should have:
- broadened their knowledge in specific areas of the appropriate discipline and/or related subject(s);
- knowledge of the culture, institutions and working practices of another country;
- working knowledge of another European language (European placements only).

Skills outcomes
Verbal and written fluency in constructing a logical and coherent argument.
Use of audio visual aids.
Participation in group discussions.
Co-ordination and dissemination of a range of historical, contextual visual information.
Using bibliographies and databases.


Syllabus

To be arranged with the host institution, but will normally comprise a combination of taught modules in the appropriate discipline and/or allied subject(s) chosen to complement the Leeds degree programme.
