Module summary

To develop skills in communicating physics (written and verbal) in preparation for projects/dissertations. This module will allow students to research a topic of physics and communicate it in various formats: written paper, oral presentation, viva. Students will also develop skills in preparation for future career applications.

Objectives

Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, students should be able to
- research a topic in physics and write a well referenced paper.
- use the formatting language of Latex
- produce slides and deliver an oral presentation
- answer questions about the chosen topic.
- -be better prepared for job and placement applications
