The New Testament - What it is, how it was formed, how it is studied by modern scholars and some soundings into its contents.Objectives
To enable students to acquire the necessary skills to interpret the contents of the New Testament in the light of differing approaches to the study of scriptural texts, and to enable them to understand the methods employed by scholars in interpreting the New Testament books and their background.Syllabus
A survey and evaluation of critical methodologies used in N.T. Scholarship. Introduction to the canon and contents of the New Testament. The literary genres and theological contents of the Gospels. Epistles and the Apocolypse.
