Objectives
For progression to the next academic year, each student is required to: 1) satisfactorily complete all of the individual ICU Assessment for Learning activities, and 2) pass the end of year Assessment for Progression examination. ICU leaders will continue to monitor engagement throughout the year.Syllabus
End of Year Exams (Assessment for Progression) The Year 1 Assessment for Progression comprises two written papers completed online via TopHat in an open-book format with remote proctoring. Both papers contain 160 single-best answer MCQs. Questions span all ICUs and include anatomy, which is assessed using a combination of questions including pinned cadaveric images to replicate the anatomy spot test. Given the open-book nature of the examinations, an adapted Ebel passmark will be used. For those failing to reach the required passmark, a resit is available in the same format.
