- To present the principles of IWRM
- To present the system and practicalities of water resource management
- To develop outline water management plans for typical rural and urban basins
- To present principles of urban drainage and sustainable urban drainage

Private study

The students will need to conduct independent reading both of given materials and materials that they will need to find themselves. This will support their learning and be an integral part of the project.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback

Student progress will be monitored during the module through the project and interaction in lectures. The project work will be assessed and feedback will be given both individually and collectively.

Formative feedback will be provided as follows:

Feasibility report (in groups): students will receive feedback within four weeks after submission. Each submitted report will be assessed and comments will be made according to the specific learning outcomes expected for this coursework.

Design project (individual): students will receive feedback within four weeks after submission. The design project will be developed on a defined study-case type scenario and feedback will be provided on the use of design principles and criteria set for this particular case.
