Module summary
This module is aimed at you if you are a student interested in exploring how the way in which media and new media communicates impacts on our perceptions of the world around us.Objectives
This module will explore issues relating to communications and media, including new media and digital media in our contemporary context. It will help students to develop an understanding of the relationship between the media and social change by focusing on a case study of a current media story. The focus within this module will also be on the development of critical thinking and an understanding of the use of different types of evidence. These skills will add to the essay writing skills developed in previous modules and will be used to help the student to write a more substantive essay.’Learning outcomes
