Programme specification:
The programme will enable students to understand scholarship and recent research in Social Policy. They will have the opportunity to deploy various techniques of analysis and enquiry within Social Policy, and develop a conceptual understanding Social Policy debates and describe and comment on particular aspects of scholarship and recent research in Social Policy. They will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding in a Social Policy dissertation at level 4.
Study in the programme is structured in ways that provide both breadth and depth, and provides opportunities for demonstrating proficiency in the application of concepts and techniques. Opportunities will also be provided for students to develop interests and informed opinions and to undertake some autonomous study.
This is a four year programme with Year 3 spent in an industrial placement.
