Programme specification:
This programme is designed to develop the language skills, knowledge and understanding required for postgraduate
study in the disciplines of Business. You will study subject specific content to help you develop your academic
language and literacy skills to a level that will enable you to communicate competently and confidently on their
chosen postgraduate programme.
The programme is comprised of one module. This has been developed in collaboration with academics from the
Leeds University Business School. This allows language learning to be integrated and built around key content
areas, and to develop a deeper understanding of how knowledge is communicated in their own subject area.
This programme is for students who do not meet the English language requirements for their chosen postgraduate
programme, as well as those who wish to gain a better understanding of the academic language and literacy
practices in their area of study.
