Year1 - View timetable

[Learning Outcomes, Transferable (Key) Skills, Assessment]

Students must ensure that they enrol on the correct Italian language pathway. Those students with prior knowledge of the language should ensure that they meet the pre-requisites for Advanced Italian - see Coursefinder.
In level 1, students must take 120 credits in total. Students are required to take 40 credits of PIED modules, a 20 credit MODL module and a minimum of either 40 or 60 credits in Italian, depending on whether they have prior knowledge of the language. Students who have prior knowledge of Italian are required to take 40 credits in Italian. Students who have no prior knowledge of Italian are required to take 60 credits in Italian. Students combining Politics with advanced Italian will have 20 credits of Discovery modules. Students with no prior knowledge of Italian will have no space available for Discovery modules at level 1. Students are required to pass a minimum of 40 credits in each of their two main subjects.

In Level 3 students must study 120 credits, which includes a 40-credit Final Year Project Module. Students are required to take a minimum of 40 credits in both Italian and Politics: the Final Year Project module can be taken in - and count towards - either of the two subjects. Any remaining credits should be taken as optional modules in either Italian or Politics, or as Discovery modules.
