Programme specification:

The programme will enable students to understand scholarship and recent research within the policy area of crime. They will have the opportunity to deploy various techniques of analysis and enquiry within Social Policy and Crime, and develop a conceptual understanding of social olicy and crime and criminal justice debates and describe and comment on particular aspects of scholarship and recent research in Social Policy and Crime. They will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding in a Social Policy or Crime dissertation at level 4.

Study in the programme is structured in ways that provide both breadth and depth, and opportunities for demonstrating proficiency in the application of Social Policy and Crime concepts and techniques. Opportunities will be provided for students to develop interests and informed opinions and to undertake some autonomous study.

This is a four year programme with year 3 spent in an industrial placement.
