Programme specification:

In the 21st century, the business of fashion is a complex global concern which requires leaders with expertise across a range of disciplines from manufacture, market strategy and retailing to customer psychology. This globally focussed Masters programme, is aimed at honours graduates who envisage a career at a senior level in the exciting, dynamic and internationally-oriented fashion sector. The MA allows students to acquire knowledge and skills in three disciplines in one single programme: fashion management, global supply chain management and retail strategy. There is a natural fit between the study of fashion management and fashion retail focused modules in the School of Design and operations and consumer behaviour modules in Leeds University Business School. Similar approaches to the understanding and application of theory to anticipate and solve micro and macro business issues is consistent throughout. The MA develops future managers who will be capable of managing multinational fashion organisations, international retail, foreign market entry as well as global supply chains and value chains. The Masters is taken over a full twelve month academic year, commencing September and involves lectures, presentations and seminars on a range of supply-chain and fashion- management issues.
