Programme specification:
The bringing together in collaboration of two internationally-renowned Leeds departments, the School of Music and the Business School, affords excellent opportunities for distinctiveness. The Business School’s international reputation in management is further expanded by the creation of the Creative Industries Management module, and the Music Management Project builds on the School of Music’s existing expertise in practical music-making. Creative Industries Management will provide the opportunity for industrial placements in the music industry, enhancing employability and creating vital links with the business community. Music Management Project will allow for the practical application of theory and skills developed elsewhere in the programme, with the possibility of a practice-based element alongside more traditional scholarly methodologies. The dual stream of managerial training and creative musical opportunities is highly distinctive.
