Entry requirements:
Applicants must be employed, in an appropriate role, and at an appropriate level, in a levy - paying institution. Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeships. In addition applicants require:
A-level: 3 A-level passes or equivalent
GCSE: English and Maths grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
If applicants do not have the required level 3 qualifications they can complete the LLC Alternative Entry Scheme. However, if they do not already hold these qualifications, Apprentices must also achieve, level 2 English and maths prior to taking their end-point assessment.
Apprentices must meet the eligibility criteria specified in the EFSA funding rules. The minimum duration of each apprenticeship is based on the apprentice working 30 hours a week or more, including any off-the-job training they undertake. If the apprentice works fewer than 30 hours a week it may be possible to extend the minimum duration (pro rata) to take account of this. This will need to be done in consultation with the University, the employer and the applicant.

5.5 On graduating with an honours degree in business and management, students will typically:
have a wide knowledge and understanding of the broad range of areas of business and management and the detailed relationships between these and their application to practice;
consistently demonstrate a command of subject-specific skills as well as proficiency in generic skills and attributes;
have a view of business and management which is influenced by a wide range of learning sources, based on a proactive and independent approach to learning;
be distinguished from the threshold category by their enhanced capacity to develop and apply their own perspectives to their studies, to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore alternative solutions, to demonstrate critical evaluation and to integrate theory and practice in a wide range of situations.
Programme specification:
The BSc Business Management degree apprenticeship is custom-designed for students who will be studying whilst continuing in their work. It will enable them to gain a Business Management qualification from one of the world's leading universities, whilst supporting their development in the workplace. It builds on the knowledge and skills of those who already have experience of working in an organisation, or in supervisory or management roles, whilst developing professional practice through engagement with the latest research and theoretical understanding.
From the outset, students are supported in the acquisition of skills for successful university-level study. Academic skills are developed in the first module and integrated throughout the course. Module assessments are designed to develop a sound, critical understanding of both the theory and practice of business management, whilst focusing on the challenges of the specific workplace. Skills in research and independent learning are further developed through the Research Methods, Work-Based Research Project and Dissertation modules.
The pace of study on the BSc Business Management apprenticeship has been deliberately set in order to be practicable alongside the student's continuing work commitments. The module content is delivered on campus in a number of blocks, supplemented by online activities and tutor support.
The structure of the degree programme is distinctive in that it is made up of five vertical ‘themed pathways' through which the learner progresses in order to help build knowledge and skills across three horizontal ‘organisational' levels.
The fees for this programme, which is delivered under the apprenticeship model, are covered by the employer through the apprenticeship levy. The Degree is awarded by the University of Leeds, after which an end point assessment will be required by the employer to achieve the apprenticeship.
