The programme will enable students to understand scholarship and recent research in Sociology. They will have the opportunity to deploy various techniques of analysis and enquiry within Sociology, and develop a conceptual understanding of Sociological debates and describe and comment on particular aspects of scholarship and recent research in Sociology.
They will be able to apply their knowledge and understanding in a Sociology dissertation at level 3. Study in the programme is structured in ways that provide both breadth and depth, and opportunities for demonstrating proficiency in the application of Sociological concepts and techniques.
