Learning outcomes

By the end of Level 1, students will be able to:

1. demonstrate a familiarity with the basic concepts which are standard features of the discipline of Film Studies

2. demonstrate an ability to evaluate different approaches to problem-solving associated with the discipline of Film Studies

3. demonstrate an awareness of the professional, disciplinary and ethical boundaries that define Film Studies

Skills Learning Outcomes
By the end of Level 1, students will be able to:

1. demonstrate a certain degree of critical reflection and judgement

2. communicate effectively in interpersonal settings, and in writing

3. deliver work to a given length, format, brief and deadline

Assessment

Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme. These may include essays, presentations, literature reviews, and clip analyses.
