Learning outcomes
On completion of the BA Geography with Transport programme students should have provided evidence of having: - an advanced understanding of human social, economic, political and cultural systems from a spatial and/or environmental perspective; - an understanding of geography's intellectual development and important theoretical perspectives applied in the study of space, place and the environment; - an advanced understanding of the key challenges for transport and mobility in the developed and development contexts work and how these relate to debates about transport planning and policy solutions; - a critical appreciation of the practical contributions made by geography and transport studies to debates and policy on societal and environmental issues; - the skills necessary to engage with ideas in the social sciences and humanities; and to employ these ideas as a basis for their own research; - key skills in the social sciences, and the ability to apply those skills to collect and use data;
