On successful completion of this level of study you will be able to:

1. Demonstrate advanced, critically informed knowledge of the history of art through independent research
2. Articulate complex historical relationships between art and wider social frameworks
3. Identify and reflect on the roles of detailed subject knowledge in art history within wider ethical and political conversations, both locally and globally

Assessment

Assessment at Level 3 takes varied forms, depending on specific requirements of your different modules. This will include a substantial, independently developed dissertation. In addition, for other modules, assessment will include different kinds of written assignment, and may also involve any of the following: presentations, group work, exams, and innovative practice-led approaches. Assessment is led by principles of relevance, fairness and inclusivity, and the development of vital skills beyond university, such as problem-solving, adaptability, self-reliance and reflexivity.
