Learning outcomes
By the end of Year 4, you will be able to:1. Communicate fluently and appropriately, maintaining a high degree of grammatical accuracy, in Italian (between C1 and C2 Levels of the CEFR)2. Identify, use and reflect on complex linguistic structures and different registers in Italian3. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an ability to see the world’s societies and cultures from multiple perspectives.4. Engage with multiple genres to support effective work and functioning in another country5. Show a broad understanding and cultural awareness of Italy as a multicultural society 6. Demonstrate depth of engagement with specific aspects of art, literature, and culture as well as of social and historical issues pertaining to Italian culture7. Make use of specialist knowledge to engage critically with current debates in the field(s) of study.Skills Learning Outcomes By the end of Year 4, you will be able to:1. Produce an autonomous piece of extended research work (the Final-Year Project), responding to guidance and feedback from a supervisor.2. Present a structured, sustained argument, and communicate using terminology and concepts appropriate to the field(s) of study.3. Evaluate and critically synthesize aspects of recent enquiry in the field(s) of study. 4. Reflect on, and work in accordance with, the ethical considerations raised in the research process.5. Assessment
Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme. These may include an extended research project, essays, individual and group presentations, creative writing exercises, portfolio, podcasts, reflective logs and exams.
