Learning outcomes

1. Demonstrate a broad understanding of key theories, concepts and debates relevant to the creative industries.

2. Explain the significance of global and local differences and similarities across the creative industries.

3. Present comprehensive arguments about the economic, political, social and cultural impacts of the creative industries.

4. Demonstrate understanding of the global creative industries policy environment.

5. Demonstrate understanding of academic research design and ethics.

6. Demonstrate understanding of creative industries enterprise strategy and operations.

Skills Learning Outcomes
On completion of the year/programme students should have provided evidence of being able to:

1. Design simple research projects in the creative industries.

2. Demonstrate independence as learners.

3. Make judgements about ethical behaviour in the context of the creative industries.

4. Apply academic research skills.

5. Analyse and recommend change in the creative industries policy environment.

6. Demonstrate professional attributes and skills, including problem solving, necessary for success in the creative industries.

7. Communicate intellectual and creative ideas effectively using a variety of media to diverse audiences.

8. Autonomously organise, motivate, and work to a deadline.

9. Collaborate effectively.

Assessment

Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will include:

1. Academic essays

2. Posters

3. Video or in-person presentations

4. Policy documents

5. Research proposals
