Learning outcomes

1. To develop an advanced understanding of maths, science and engineering principles that underpin core chemical engineering concepts.
2. To apply knowledge of the core chemical engineering concepts and systems thinking to solve complex problems.
3. To use computational and numerical techniques to model chemical engineering processes.
4. To undertake experimental work, analyse resulting data and communicate the findings in a professional manner.
5. To critically evaluate technical literature and other sources of information and apply to the design of chemical processes.
6. To apply process safety methods to identify, evaluate and mitigate risks.

Skills Learning Outcomes

Assessment

You will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and may include written examinations, in-class and online tests, problem sheets, assignments, and coursework in the form of projects, reports, presentations and posters.
