Learning outcomes
Advanced aspects of selected areas of the subject at a European University; practical training in research methods through project work; the practice of language skills in a European country.
Transferable (key) skills
Students will have had the opportunity to acquire, as defined in the modules specified for the programme:- the transferable/key/generic skills necessary for employment related to the discipline of chemistry;- the ability to identify objectives, and negotiate the strategy and tactics to be employed working with a team;- the ability to exercise initiative and personal responsibility;- the ability to deploy decision making skills in complex situations;- the ability to communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions in a variety of ways;- the ability to undertake appropriate further training of a professional or equivalent nature.
Assessment
International Placements are assessed according to the methods and criteria applied by the host institution to its own students. The year is then assessed on a pass/fail basis.
