Learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate a familiarity with the basic concepts of the design process and qualitative understanding of electronics, materials and statics. 2. Demonstrate competence in solid modelling and graphic design software, as well as in practical model-making. 3. Be able to communicate the results of their work in graphic portfolio, presentation and written report forms, and demonstrate an awareness of when each is appropriate. 4. Present structured and coherent arguments. 5. Evaluate qualitative and quantitative data; 6. Demonstrate an ability to evaluate the appropriateness of different approaches to creative and analytic problem solving in a design context; 7. Assessment
Achievement may be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and may include written examinations, in-class and online tests, problem sheets, assignments, and coursework in the form of projects, reports, presentations and posters.
