Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this programme you will be able to: 1. Demonstrate in-depth, specialist knowledge and professional skills relevant to art gallery and museum studies and/or to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of concepts, information and techniques at the forefront of the discipline; 2. Critically evaluate concepts, information and techniques at the forefront of the discipline; 3. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to your own research or advanced scholarship; 4. Take a proactive and self-reflective role in working and to develop professional relationships with others; 5. Proactively formulate ideas and hypotheses and to develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate these; 6. Critically and creatively evaluate current issues, research and advanced scholarship in art gallery and museum studies; 7. Engage with professional contexts of museums, galleries and heritage, both physical and digital. Skills Learning OutcomesOn successful completion of the module, you will have: 1. The skills necessary to undertake a higher research degree and/or for employment in a higher capacity in industry or area of professional practice; 2. Assessment
You will be assessed using a variety of methods. These include extended essays, reflective writing, presentations, practice-based projects, action-based learning, group work, and a dissertation. Our assessment is led by principles of relevance, fairness and inclusivity, and the development of vital skills beyond university, such as problem-solving, adaptability, self-reliance and reflexivity.
