Learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate an understanding of cultural and creative industries with particular reference to performance in a global context. 2. Critically reflect on the political, socio-economic condition of performance production and consumption in a global context. 3. Develop an interdisciplinary subject knowledge on Performance and Cultural Industries by engaging key theories of theatre and performance studies, cultural studies, cultural and creative industries and sociology. 4. Demonstrate high level subject understanding of Performance and Cultural Industries through core modules’ assessment, especially Independent Research Project. Skills Learning Outcomes: 1. Contribute to the discourse development on Performance and Cultural Industries by incorporating ethically aware and globally diverse perspectives in their work. 2. Reflect on your learned knowledge and extend your skills in critique of global performance and cultural industries as part of ongoing academic and personal development. 3. Assessment
Assessment on the MA Global Performance and Cultural Industries is both formative and summative with a range of assessment forms including reflective class discussions, presentations and written essays. The varied forms of assessment are necessary to ascertain whether the varied Learning Outcomes are met at the required academic standard. In addition to this, students enrol on the course from a range of varied academic backgrounds with varied learning styles.
