Learning outcomes
1. Apply a knowledge of mathematics, statistics, natural science and engineering principles to the solution of a range of complexity of problems (contributing to AHEP4 C1/M1). 2. Analyse a range of problems to reach conclusions. This will involve evaluating available data using first principles of mathematics, statistics, natural science and engineering principles (contributing to AHEP4 C2/M2). 3. Select and apply appropriate computational and analytical techniques to model a range of problems, discussing the limitations of the techniques employed (contributing to AHEP4 C3/M3). 4. Select and evaluate technical literature and other sources of information to solve problems (contributing to AHEP4 C4/M4). 5. Design solutions for a range of problems that evidence some creativity/originality and meet a combination of societal/user needs (including consideration of applicable health & safety, diversity, inclusion, cultural, societal, environmental and commercial matters, codes of practice and industry standards) (contributing to AHEP4 C5/M5).6. Assessment
Students are assessed through a range of methods, including assessments that directly build towards those tasks undertaken in a professional work environment. This includes assessment through project work and written examinations (both open and closed book) as well as coursework in the form of reports, projects, presentations and posters. Assessments are designed to support students in developing key transferable skills. Submissions will be submitted digitally.
