Learning outcomes

1. Demonstrate in-depth, specialist knowledge and mastery of techniques relevant to aeronautical & aerospace Engineering and/or to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of concepts, information and techniques at the forefront of aeronautical & aerospace Engineering;
2. To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to their own research or advanced scholarship;
3. To take a proactive and self-reflective role in working and to develop professional relationships with others;
4. Proactively formulate ideas and hypotheses and to develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate these;
5. Critically and creatively evaluate current issues, research and advanced scholarship in aeronatical & aerospace Engineering;
6. Appreciate the importance and requirements of leadership in a multidisciplinary environment;
7. Demonstrate an awareness of quality systems and management, risk analysis techniques, economic considerations, health and safety and legal, statutory and contractual obligations and ethical issues relating to aeronautical & aerospace Engineering.

Assessment

Achievement may be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and may include written examinations, in-class and online tests, problem sheets, assignments, and coursework in the form of projects, reports, presentations and posters.
