Learning outcomes

On completion of the programme students should have shown evidence of being able:

LO1: integrate and critically analyse contemporary management and information systems/ information management research and theories and related business and management trends (PA1, PA3)
L02: draw upon, analyse, interpret and evaluate information from a wide range of relevant sources and identify critical issues (PA1, PA2)
L03: analyse and understand the management and organisational issues around the development and innovation of information systems and information solutions in organisations (PA1, PA3, PA5)
L04: generate insights and understanding of digital information management and innovation of systems in the context of the opportunities and implications of globalisation-cultural-ethical, and new and unfamiliar contexts (PAl, PA3, PA4, PA6)
L05: define, plan, execute and present a significant, detailed and academically rigorous piece of standalone independent research (PA2, PA6)

Transferable (key) skills

Masters (Taught) students will have had the opportunity to acquire the following abilities as defined in the modules specified for the programme:

Assessment

Achievement for the degree of Master (taught programme) will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will involve the achievement of the students in:

- Al: evidencing an ability to conduct independent in-depth enquiry within the discipline;
- A2: demonstrating the ability to apply breadth and/or depth of knowledge to a complex specialist area;
- A3: drawing on a range of perspectives on an area of study;
- A4: evaluating and criticising received opinion;
- A5: make reasoned judgements whilst understanding the limitations on judgements made in the absence of complete data.
