Learning outcomes
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of sustainability;2. Understand the need to address environmental, social, economic and environmental issues in a holistic way.3. Demonstrate the importance of effective transport planning in reducing environmental impacts and improving business processes and quality of life for citizens.4. Identify and understand the application of the most appropriate policy and regulatory measures to specific transport related sustainability problems and projects.5. Conduct strategic reviews of global sustainability issues in transport6. Understand why people travel in order to develop more sustainable transport solutions7. Demonstrate competence in the identification, collection, management and analysis of a range of data related to transport and its interaction with the environment, society and the economy.8. Work effectively in interdisciplinary teams on cases and problems relating to environmental problems.9. Design and conduct an independent research study on a topic related to transport and sustainability.Skills Learning Outcomes1. Assessment
The learning outcomes for the programme have been designed in conjunction with the learning outcomes of the modules. Each module comprises a balance of assessment of understanding of core principles, critique of practice and demonstrably applying the core principles to real-world challenges. A range of traditional (Online Time Limited Assessments, essays) and authentic assessments (e.g., reports) are used.
