Learning outcomes

On completion of the year students should have provided evidence of being able to:
- apply the critical and analytical skills developed as part of their pursuit of English studies in a non-academic environment;
- reflect upon their progress, both personally and professionally, in a cogent, judicious and interrogative manner.
- reflect upon the ways in which their work placement has enhanced their academic engagement with English literature materials
- communicate their ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
- evaluate commercial situations and make decisions in a commercial context
- appreciate the dynamic relationship between the professional world and the Arts
- understand the demands and challenges of professionalism
