Year 3

Learning outcomes

On completion of the year/programme students should have provided evidence of being able to:

- appreciate the varied roles of political actors and their relationship to political systems;
- understand a range of current political issues;
- reflect on their acquisition of skills relevant to a political office;
- set personal objectives and pursue them.

Transferable (key) skills

Students will have had the opportunity to acquire, as defined in the modules specified for the programme:

- transferable skills necessary for employment related to the area studied;
- the exercise of initiative and personal responsibility;
- the deployment of decision making skills in complex and unpredictable situations;
- the communication of information, ideas, problems and solutions to the relevant audiences.

Assessment

Achievement will be assessed by a logbook and portfolio of work in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will include:

- demonstrating understanding of political actors and processes;
- work that shows a range of skills;
- showing an ability to reflect on their performance.
