Learning outcomes

On completion of the year/programme students should have provided evidence of being able to:
- identify viable business opportunities; and
- write/present a business plan that demonstrates growth of a start-up business -mobilise resources/build networks in order to achieve their business objectives.

Transferable (key) skills

Students will have had the opportunity to acquire, as defined in the modules specified for the programme:
• In addition to developing specific knowledge outcomes relating to their field of interest, students will also have developed the following transferable skills:
• - Self management and development;
• - Managing tasks;
• - Communicating clearly;
• - Working with and relating to others;
• - Understanding the social context of business and making ethical decisions;
• - Applying knowledge (including knowledge gained from their degree programme);
• - Applying initiative in work problems; and
• - Reflecting on their own learning outcomes.

Assessment

Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of LUBS7001 Year in Enterprise.
