Learning outcomes

On completion of the year students should have provided evidence of being able to:
- demonstrate their ability to cope with a significant change in their environment and adapt to a new culture and learning paradigm;
- broaden their understanding and knowledge of their subject specialism(s);
- gain deeper understanding of the country in which they are studying;
- improve their foreign language skills (in exchanges where the language is not English).

In addition to the learning outcomes listed above, students who complete the industrial variant of the programme will also have:

- demonstrated the ability to develop, and reflect on their skills development, in an industrial context; show a knowledge and understanding of the relevant industry; and interact effectively as an employee within an organisation, with both peers and managers.

Transferable (key) skills

Develop transferable skills in openness and sensitivity to diversity in terms of people and culture.

Assessment

The student should normally be assessed by the host institution according to their normal procedures. An official transcript of the grades obtained should be provided.
