Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:- know the major applications in which computer vision is and has been active;
- understand the principal ideas and techniques of computer vision;
- understand a selection of these techniques;
- appreciate the problems and solutions adopted in some of its main application areas;
- apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the module to the design of vision systems for solving specific problems.

- Geometry of projection and co-ordinate transformations
- Binocular and motion stereo
- Surface reconstruction
- Recognising and tracking objects
- Recognising activities and events
- Image registration
