Objectives
The objective of the course is that the student understands the process of making architectural space and form through the study and analytical deconstruction of certain key buildings and that, through (re)construction, the student demonstrates an ability to incorporate those lessons in a design solution of their own.Skills outcomes

Syllabus
The lectures will cover multiple aspects of the contemporary construction environment: facts and tendencies of contemporary architecture, principles and monographs on outstanding designers, contemporary and futuristic building materials and technologies and interactions between architecture and engineering.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of the lectures, as well as using alternatives sources (University libraries and Internet), their ability to analyse and synthesise information. Organisational, graphic and imaginative skills will be employed in the production of the main coursework, ie de-construction and re-construction of two famous buildings.
The project of a small structure is the final requirement for this module.
