Module summary
As the title suggests, this module provides an introduction to understanding and systematically analysing modern business. How business develops and the strategic choices that confront any business are the key concerns of the module. The module will provide a framework to allow any student develop a critical insight into business organisations, with theory supplemented by case studies classes where the theories are applied.Further information about the Business School is available on the website: Business SchoolObjectives

The module explores a number of analyses of strategic processes; Relationships between organisational structure, environment and strategic choices are assessed; and Applications to a variety of business situations are examined.
