The SSRD module includes a number of workshops, tutorials and group working sessions. Students are generally in groups of about 8 with tutor support. Although there is no formal assessment of individual progresion, the opportunities are taken to ensure students understand the subject area and contribute to the working of the groups. Individual students learning issues are identified informally. These are then dealt with as appropriate either within the group session or at drop-in sessions run by the tutor where students can access help on an individual basis.
